Regina Schwartz will inaugurate the series with a lecture on “Loving Justice” in the Dome Room of the Rotunda, tomorrow, February 2, 2010, at 3:00 p.m. A reception will follow the lecture in the Lower West Oval Room. This talk is co-sponsored by UVa’s Departments of English and Religious Studies. |
Craig Calhoun, President of the Social Science Research Council, will give the second lecture in the series, “From Common Humanity to Humanitarian Obligation: Suffering Strangers, Progress, and Emergencies,” in the Dome Room of the Rotunda on Thursday, February 11, at 3:00 p.m. This talk is co-sponsored by UVa’s Departments of Sociology and Religious Studies.
