Working Conference: April 2010

On April 1, 2010, scholars met in the Dome Room of the Rotunda to discuss the enduring importance of Hannah Arendt’s work. Papers presented included: Elisabeth Young-Bruehl (Columbia University), “The Promise of Hannah Arendt’s Politics”; Richard Bernstein (The New School), “Immanence, Plurality, and Politics”; and Susannah Gottlieb (Northwestern University), “Reflections on Ruin.” Audio recordings of these talks, with respondents, are available on our Media Library.
