Originally from Texas, Leann has worked in the publishing industry for more than 25 years as an editor, writer, art director, and designer. She holds a master’s degree in English literature from Boston College and has written essays, reviews, and criticism for a number of publications, including The New Criterion, The Johns Hopkins Review (new series), New Music Connoisseur, The Shandean, and others. As an independent scholar, she has presented conference papers on topics in medievalism, Slavic studies, and Laurence Sterne's 1759 novel Tristram Shandy.
