Greg is a Doctoral Candidate in the Theology, Ethics, and Culture program in the University of Virginia’s Department of Religious Studies. His research interests include Theology, Social Theory, African-American intellectual history, and the American Civil Rights Movement. Greg’s work focuses generally on the role of theological communities in the service of the common good and he is currently writing a work on Martin Luther King Jr’s public theology of love.

The Institute for Advanced Studies in Culture is an interdisciplinary research center and intellectual community at the University of Virginia committed to understanding contemporary cultural change and its individual and social consequences, training young scholars, and providing intellectual leadership in service to the public good.
