Thursday Lecture - “Naturalism and the Claims of Philosophy to Authoritative Knowledge”

On Thursday, February 14, 2013, the Institute, in collaboration with the Institute of the Humanities and Global Cultures, welcomes John Zammito. Professor Zammito is the John Antony Weir Professor of History at Rice University. He is the author, most recently, of Kant, Herder, and the Birth of Anthropology and of The Genesis of Kant's Critique of Judgment, both published by the University of Chicago Press. His lecture, “Naturalism and the Claims of Philosophy to Authoritative Knowledge,” will take place at Watson Manor, 3 University Circle, at 4:00 pm. A reception will follow. This event is free and open to the public.
