Tim is a PhD student in Theology, Ethics, and Culture in the Department of Religious Studies at the University of Virginia. He holds a BA in History with Honors from Stanford University and a Masters of Divinity from Princeton Theological Seminary. Tim is interested in contemporary Christian theology in a post-Christendom context and particularly the possibilities for dialogue with postcolonial thought. His work seeks to hold together and integrate belief and action in our present cultural context.

The Institute for Advanced Studies in Culture is an interdisciplinary research center and intellectual community at the University of Virginia committed to understanding contemporary cultural change and its individual and social consequences, training young scholars, and providing intellectual leadership in service to the public good.
